SAVINGS CREDIT
The savings credit is a special offer for senior citizens, aged 65 and above. It can either be you, the primary applicant, or your spouse. This is a good option in case you have made a provision for your retirement. Below are the details for the level of benefits of savings credit:
- £20.52 per week if you are single, or £27.09 per week if you have a partner
£188 per week if you are single, or £277 per week if you have a partner

Attendance Allowance
This is a tax-free benefit to those aged 65 or above, and to those who require help with personal care due to physical or mental disability. To be entitled to this scheme, apart from the age limit, the following points should be kept in mind:
There must be either a physically challenged or mentally challenged person for whom this is done. This includes visual disabilities, hearing loss, dyslexia, etc.
The severity of the difficulties are such that you need supervision either for yourself or the affected family member.
Attendance Allowance is paid based on your levels of necessary care
The higher rate is £73.60 per week, and the Lower rate is £49.30 per week

Disability Living Allowance

The assessment to establish whether you qualify for support with your Council Tax if your savings are below £16,000 is based on your level of income and the amount of Council Tax that you pay.
